It had just the right amount of tartness, and the Grand Marnier definitely pushed it over the top. The Ultimate Frozen Margarita was incredible. Before pouring it into the glass, I ran a lime around the rim of the glass and dipped it in some Kosher salt. I added the Tequila mixture from the freezer and some crushed ice to my blender, and processed it for about 20 seconds until the mixture was smooth and of the perfect consistency. I also stuck the glasses in the freezer so that they would be frosty when I added the Margarita mixture. Because of the alcohol content, the mixture didn’t freeze, but was super cold the next day when I made the Margaritas. Specifically, I combined the Tequila, Grand Marnier, lime juice, and simple syrup, and stuck it in the freezer the night before. I make mine by combining equal parts of sugar and water, and brining the mixture to a boil until the sugar has dissolved. One can purchase simple syrup, but it’s super easy to make.
