This can cause fever, nausea and vomiting, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), and abdominal pain. I’m just wondering if anyone here may have had a similar experience and could offer some advice, we’ve tried so many different things. It is possible for a gallstone to remain, even after surgery. My mom says she was always pretty regular and we’re both aware of the diet and some lifestyle changes she’ll have to make due to not having a gallbladder anymore. I just want to help her get her quality of life back. And my mom HATES hospitals and doctors visits so for her to beg me to take her to the ER again and again tells me she’s really in a lot of pain. We took her back again a couple days later and her doctor word for word said “ there’s nothing I can do to help you anymore” and sent us off, almost as if we were annoying him. He prescribed her some over the counter laxatives (yay) and some type of medicine for abdominal cramps. It got so bad that about a week after her surgery that we took her back to the ER and the doctor took some cat scans and ultrasounds and basically concluded that it was a literally just a ton of shit in there. She’s tried multiple laxatives and enemas including drinking lots of water but it seems she still can’t pass anything really solid. She gets pains and attacks similar to before she had her gallbladder remove, and is having a real hard time passing anything solid. Todays date is (12/16/21) and my mom is still dealing with some pretty severe constipation (or so we think) At first, we thought it was because of the pain meds but it’s been weeks since she’s taken any. She had her gallbladder removed on (11/29/21). Hello so I’m making this in hopes of helping my mom. ![]()
